What a marvellous performance by Lesley. She has a wonderful voice, stage presence and intimate connection with her audience. She cares about the people who come to hear her sing and reaches out to music lovers far beyond the confines of the opera house. Lesley has such a natural way of communicating the meaning of songs, and of relating comical incidents. She sang a range of songs that very few could tackle, from grand opera to modern classics. The audience felt connected to all her performances and with her superb voice, all were delighted. Her finale of "You'll Never Walk Alone" accompanied by the choir proved why she has come to be known as Britain's most popular soprano. Come back soon.

Friday 23rd September sees the start of the Porthcawl Elvis Festival. This has been growing in Popularity since 2004. Would-be Elvis's will be performing in theatre, clubs, bars and the streets. We wish the organisers and participants every success for the 2011 festival
