Côr Meibion Porthcawl Male Choir
President: Mr Geoff Dower
Dr Jamie Wallis MP
Mr David Newton-Williams
Mrs Mair Jones
Mr Richard Davis
Our Choir was formed in 1980 by a small number of enthusiastic members, some of whom are still with us. The Choir has grown and changed over the years and we currently have over 50 members. We practice on Tuesday and Friday evenings from 7.30 to 9.30 in Arlington Church Porthcawl. Our repertoire is varied, covering music from shows, opera, traditional male voice numbers, Welsh hymns and modern musical pieces and we adapt our programme to suit the occasion. Singing is good for the soul, as well as lungs and heart, and is an excellent form of stress relief.
If you would like to enjoy these benefits why not consider joining our Choir? You do not need to have knowledge of music, as our musical director and team provide expert tuition. Most choristers cannot read music but learn through support, repetition and practice. You will make new friends and have the opportunity to visit interesting places.
All you have to do is to drop into one of our practice sessions or E-Mail us below:
